We celebrate nature. We try not to cost it.
Our kits celebrate Canadian wildlife. That means the health of that wildlife, and the ecosystems it lives in, matters to us. We can't pretend otherwise. So we try, every day, to make choices that are consistent with that.
What we actually do
No plastic. Ever.
Our kits and packaging are entirely plastic-free and recyclable. No shrink wrap, no bubble wrap, no exceptions.
We walk or bike to the carrier.
When the weather allows, we drop off orders on foot or by bike. No van, no idling engine.
Batched shipments in winter.
When conditions make active transport impossible, we group shipments as much as we can to reduce the number of trips.
Recycled boxes for wholesale orders.
Our wholesale shipments are packed in cardboard boxes recovered from a local bookstore. Good boxes shouldn't end up in a bin.
No paper waste in our business.
No business cards, no flyers, no printed invoices. Everything is digital. Our trade show booth is built to last and fully recyclable.
No unnecessary packaging.
Each kit ships in a box sized for that kit. No excess. If we need filler, we've recyled it from local bunisses.
And on top of that
Every order ships carbon-neutral.
For every order we receive, a formula calculates the estimated shipping emissions. A portion of our revenue goes to carbon removal companies vetted by scientists from Carbon Direct — companies that remove exactly as much carbon as our shipments created. Any extra goes toward developing new removal technologies.
Together, participating businesses have removed thousands of tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere and provided carbon-neutral shipping on more than ten million orders.
